Joyful Joe Hippo is a soft and cuddly ten inch plush animal who has eight best friends. He and his Bible Buddies make up the group of nine adorable stuffed animals named after the fruit of the Spirit mentioned in Galatians 5:22. The most unique feature of these characters is the plush toy Bible they each carry. The Bible is personalized with the character’s name and attaches by Velcro to either hand.

 

It opens like a real Bible and has a fun character card that tells all about that particular buddy, including his or her favorite Bible verse.  The back of the card shows the entire group of friends.  The card is made of plastic for durability and is a great tool for teaching your children the fruit of the Spirit.  Kids love it!   The Bible also has a pocket for memory verses your child may be trying to learn.

  

The real exciting part of the Bible, though, is its ten second re-recordable sound module which fits neatly in an inner pocket. Parents can remove the recorder and put in their own message or they can record the characters’ cute and funny voices reciting scripture from the website, www.joyfuljoehippo.com. Parents, this is a great way to help your children memorize the verses they get in Sunday School and other organizations!

 

To record the Bible verses from the website:

STEP 1 Go to www.joyfuljoehippo.com, click on Bible verses and your character, and then scroll down to your favorite verse.
STEP 2 Remove the recorder from the Bible and rotate the outer casing to expose the record button.
STEP 3 Now, just hold the recorder up to your computer speaker, adjust your speaker to the desired volume, hold the record button down, and click on the play button next to the verse.
